AS THE DAYS TURN COLDER AND THE LEAVES START TO FALL I LONG FOR CHRISTMAS. I LOVE THE SNOW, THE LIGHTS, THE COZY FEELING OF BEING INSIDE WHILE THE WIND WHIPS OUTSIDE. THE LAST WEEKS BEFORE CHRISTMAS SEEM TO FLY BY SO QUICKLY THOUGH. I DID MANAGE TO MAKE A FEW HOMEMADE THINGS. I MADE CHRISTMAS CARDS, WITH THE HELP OF MY MOM AND DAD WHO WANTED TO EACH HELP....SO MY MOM DID THE YARN CROSS STITCHING AND MY DAD DID THE EMBOSSING. I ALSO MADE SOME GIFT TAGS FOR SOME GIFTS TO GIVE AT WORK, TO THOSE WHO HELP US ALL YEAR LONG AND DO IT WITH A SMILE....THAT SEEMS RARE THESE DAYS.
I WAS PERUSING SOME OTHER BLOGS AND WAS TOTALLY AMAZED AT HOW MUCH TIME SOME PEOPLE HAVE TO DECORATE THEIR HOUSES AND MAKE HOMEMADE GIFTS AND DECORATIONS. MY LITTLE ATTEMPT AT SOME CARDS AND GIFT TAGS PALE IN COMPARISON. BUT THEN I REMEMBERED THAT THESE PARTICULAR WOMEN DON'T WORK FULL TIME OUTSIDE OF THE HOUSE SO THEY ARE HOME TO DO THE DECORATING AND CRAFT MAKING.
I DO WANT TO BE MARTHA STEWART, I LOVE MARTHA, BUT IT WILL ALWAYS BE A DREAM..................

I LOVE how your parents contributed to these hand-crafted tags! You have a way of bringing out the best in people. I feel the same way as you, I know it is a rarity these days to find people that are actually genuine, and you feel like you should let them know they are appreciated! As far as Martha, you know I love her too...but she doesn't have to devote a huge block of her time to someone/someplace else! xoxo See you tomorrow/today!
